narcissism
Thought it was about time I updated this monster. I've changed a lot in the last few years. For better or worse, I'm not really sure yet. Better, I think. I'm a lot softer round the edges than I used to be, and I'm not referring to my figure, though that phrase could apply there also. I'm happier, that's certainly true. I feel less at odds with myself these days.

If you read the description of a typical Scorpio that pretty much sums me up: intense, emotional, obsessive, determined, loyal, rebellious and slightly mad. The last is not necessarily a Scorpio trait, but applicable nonetheless. I'm an information junkie and a control freak. I've discovered that I find it impossible to believe in an afterlife, which really annoys me. I make endless to-do lists. I get that from my Mum. I talk to magpies (that's Mum's fault too). I rarely watch TV. I've been ridiculously obsessed with Trent Reznor for far too long. God bless Noel Fielding. I miss having green hair. I'm now dubbed a Recovering Goth due to the fact that I can't be bothered with the makeup and the crimping and the general effort it involves, though I do miss it. My heart will always be black ;)
I live in Greenock, a small town in the west of bonnie Scotland, with my two beautiful daughters Kira and Esme, and Junx, my lovely man (or 'The Icon' as he prefers to be known). After nine years of putting it off, we finally got married in 2005. I have the most amazing family and friends in the world and I love them all dearly.
I smoke - my bad - and I drink far too much, but I enjoy the escapism so I make no excuses for it. Most of my free time is spent writing and making art or using my children as an excuse to play with toys. I collect quotes, I make books, I use ellipses far too often and I journal like a madwoman. I am Samuel Pepys on speed.

I bought dreamdeep.co.uk in December 2004 because I was sick of having to agree to be an advertising banner for companies I'd never heard of every time I signed up for free webspace somewhere. I don't need my window to the world obscured with ads, thankyouverymuch. The name comes from a Ralph Vaull Starr quote: “Reach high, for stars lie hidden in your soul. Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal.” Good advice, I think.
